Job Description

Job Title: Community Mobiliser (Girls & Women Skill Development)

Location: Faridabad, Haryana

Employment Type: Contract (as applicable)

The Community Mobiliser will be responsible for mobilising, counselling, and enrolling young girls and women from local communities in Faridabad into various skill development courses. The role focuses on community outreach, awareness generation, and building trust with families to promote young girl’s education, employability, and empowerment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct door-to-door outreach, community meetings, and awareness sessions in slum and economically backward communities of Faridabad.
• Identify eligible young girls and women for skill development courses (age, education, interest-based).
• Counsel candidates and their families about the benefits of skill training, career opportunities, and long-term impact.
• Mobilise and enroll candidates for vocational, technical, and employability-focused courses.
• Coordinate with local stakeholders such as community leaders, schools, colleges, self-help groups, ALF’s, NGOs, and local institutions.
• Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, enrolments, and follow-ups.
• Support candidates through the admission process, documentation, and course onboarding.
• Assist in organising mobilisation camps, counselling sessions, course demo workshops, and orientation programs.
• Address community concerns, drop-out risks, and ensure regular follow-up with enquiries and enrolled participants.
• Submit daily/weekly progress reports to the project coordinator or centre head.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum qualification: 10+2 / Graduate (preferred).
• Prior experience in community mobilisation, social work, education, skill development, or NGO sector is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with women and families.
• Familiarity with local communities and areas of Faridabad.
• Ability to speak Hindi fluently (local dialect knowledge is an advantage).
• Basic knowledge of documentation and reporting.
• Willingness to travel within assigned communities.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working on women-centric programs, livelihood missions, or government skill schemes.
• Experience in admissions, counselling, or field outreach roles.

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: ₹10,00.00 – ₹15,00.00 per month
