Job Description

The Customer Service Assistant – Vegetable Section

He /She is responsible for assisting customers, maintaining fresh and attractive vegetable displays, and supporting sales through good service and proper stock handling.

The role focuses on freshness, cleanliness, FIFO practices, and following store SOPs.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting vegetables and answer basic product-related questions.
• Maintain neat, clean, and attractive vegetable displays as per store standards.
• Follow FIFO method to ensure freshness and reduce wastage.
• Check quality, remove damaged or expired items, and maintain freshness at all times.
• Support daily sales targets through active customer service.
• Ensure correct pricing, labelling, and display of offers.
• Monitor stock levels and inform the supervisor for timely replenishment.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in the vegetable section.
• Follow all SOPs, rules, and instructions given by management.
• Support stock counts, audits, and promotional activities when required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Plus Two / basic education is sufficient.
• Basic understanding of freshness, FIFO, and customer handling.

Job Type: Part-time

Expected hours: No less than 28 per week
