Job Description

Description

The Administrative Support team member in charge of file setup will be responsible for setting up new claim files submitted by insureds, claimants, agents and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and review new loss information
  • Discern the correct program relevant to the new loss
  • Request insurance policies from the correct client contact or pull the correct policy from the client’s database
  • Follow up, if needed
  • Complete program specific e-forms
  • Set up new claim files in the claim system
  • Generate and prepare initial acknowledgement letter
  • Communicate with other administrative staff via email, phone and Teams
  • Escalate to our operations supervisor, Mike Young, for any questions or anything out of the ordinary

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Excellent written communication skills, including ability to speak, understand, write and read English
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Highly motivated and detail-oriented
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are necessary
  • Ability to upload documents to claim system, including giving them an appropriate name and classification code
  • Ability to enter high volumes of data with minimal error
  • Ability to meet established deadlines while maintaining high quality
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with Adobe software
  • Understanding of basic insurance terminology
  • Other duties as assigned
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Experience working in a remote environment
  • Experience in a service-oriented business
  • Previous experience in the insurance industry and Certain Underwriters at Lloyd’s London is preferred
