Job Description
Job Summary
We are hiring a Solar Service Technician to handle troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and servicing of on-grid solar PV systems. The role involves regular site visits, inverter diagnostics, system inspections, and customer issue resolution while following safety and service protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting and servicing on-grid solar PV systems
- Preventive and corrective maintenance visits
- Inverter diagnostics and fault resolution
- Inspection of panels, DC/AC cabling, junction boxes, and earthing
- Monitoring system performance via mobile/web applications
- Use of tools: multi meter, clamp meter, insulation tester
- Coordination with internal teams for escalations and spares
- Maintaining service visit reports and customer records
- Ensuring safety compliance and professional customer interaction
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Basic understanding of solar PV systems (on-grid preferred)
- Familiarity with inverters such as: Sungrow, Growatt, Fox, Enphase
- Basic electrical troubleshooting skills
- Comfortable using Android smartphones and monitoring apps
- Ability to work independently in field conditions
Qualifications & Mandatory Requirements
- ITI / Diploma / Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Renewable Energy (preferred)
- Valid two-wheeler driving license (mandatory)
- Willingness to travel across Kerala
